Anika noni rose is an American actor and singer. Her most well-known character is Tiana The first Disney African American princess. In 2011, she was recognised as an official Disney Legend. Rose was in Lorrell Robinson in from the Academy Award winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Rose was born September 6, 1973. She is an American singer and actress. Her most well-known role is portraying Tiana, the Princess and the Frog's 2009 African-American princess. Disney Legends named her as the 2011's most popular character. Her other starring part, playing Lorrell Robinson, in Dreamgirls (2007) which was nominated for an Academy Award. And she performs the role of LaVerne Jukebox Ganner in the Starz series Power. Her other notable roles include her theatre performances, specifically in her leading roles as Emmie Thibodeaux and as Emmie in Caroline or Change, the Broadway production of Caroline or Change (2004) for which she won the Tony Award for Best Featured actor in a Musical. Also, she starred as Beneatha Younger as part of The Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun (2014) in which she received nominations for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play.
